camie girl.

one of my best friends, Camie, has been called to serve in the Jackson, Mississippi mission. She reports to the MTC on May 8th. This past Sunday she gave her farewell talk. It was fantastic. Camie is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She loves everyone and always makes others feel welcomed. She is funny and beautiful.

I honestly could not be more excited for my little camel. I am sooooo proud of her and can't wait to send her letters and packages. She is such an amazing example to me and I am so blessed to have her in my life.

Camie, I love you. I am so excited for you.

the temple.

I was blessed to have the opportunity to receive my endowments last Saturday.
I went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and had the most amazing time.
The temple is perfect.
The gospel is true.
and I am so happy.

Six Months

Today, April 23rd, my sweet boy has been home six months.

SIX MONTHS.

It's been the best six months of my life. I am so grateful to have my best friend home and to know that with in a matter of days I will be sealed to him for all eternity. The Lord has blessed me far beyond what I deserve and I could not be more grateful.

I will never be able to say this enough...he was so worth the wait.

Something Scary

I did it. Yesterday I did the hardest thing I've ever done (really). I quit my job.
I have absolutely loved every second at SOS.
My boss, my team, my co-workers, and the company as a whole has been so very good to me.
I was able to learn so much in the two years I spent there and am so grateful for all the amazing people I met. I am truly going to miss them. SOOOOO much.

I was offered a new job. I accepted. I start on May 13th. I'm excited and terrified all at the same time. Here's to change.

A Blast from the Past

Facebook has some silly features. One that I just can't figure out it the notes pages. What kind of notes do you take on Facebook? Well I went into my profile to check out my 'notes' and I found this little listy.

This makes me so happy. I am so happy I am past this stage of my life. I am so happy just to have him home. Enjoy my facebook note about being a missionary girlfriend.

You know you are a Missionary Girlfriend WHEN....

- You've memorized all the postal rates and prices and know exactly how long it takes to get a letter from you to him.
- You're obsessed with ANYTHING relating to where he is (Which is while a have a groupon app on my iPod for philly..haha)
- You check the weather where he is.
- You have a bunch of timers counting how long he's been out and countdowns for how much time he has left. Some of them are in months, others are in days, weeks and others go by semesters. You always look at all of them to see which seems like the least amount of time until he comes home.
- You're suddenly A LOT more interested in ties.
- During the day you think about what you are going to write him in your next letter.
- When you're at the airport, you imagine what it will look like to see him walking past security to you.
- You take better care of your promise ring than your fish.
- You're jealous of his companions that get to spend all day every day with him.
- You're heart hurts (and is a bit jealous) when you're friends talk about their boyfriends.
- You stalk people's wedding and engagement pictures on facebook, dreaming about the day you and him can be married.
- You take lots of pictures of yourself because you know he'll love them.
- Whenever you do something fun you wish he was there and can't wait to do it with him.
- You check your email constantly on P-days waiting for an email.
- You HATE monday holidays, because it screws up his emails for the week.
- You favorite thing is getting his letters. You heart skips a beat and you drop everything to hear how he is. There is nothing like holding a letter that he held just days ago.
